RC Bottle Race

 Open to all, especially for novice/youth sailors and first time boat builders.

COURSE: Downwind Race

DESIGN GUIDELINES: Select bottles of any size with combined total volume of bottles not to exceed 6 liters.
1 servo radio controller (RC*) (rudder recommended).
Made from found materials or spend less than <$10 for each component (except RC*).

RC KIT

For the RC race, we have RC kits available for students (grade 5-college) to sign out for practice during builder sessions and for race day. Available on first come basis. Please contact us to reserve a RC kit.  If you plan to use our RC Kits, it is necessary to attend all mentor builder sessions to practice attaching the RC kit to your boat and testing it prior to race day. We request that any parts that are donated to your boat, please be returned if you decide not to continue sailing your boat.
